4 Kitchen Designs to Consider in 2019
Kitchen design ideas to help bring the heart of your home into the 21st century.
If you’ve noticed that your kitchen seems like it hasn't adapted to the 21st century, this is a great year for easy updates
or a full-on remodel. The kitchen designs you will find in 2019 are more modern
than ever and will bring
the heart of your
home up to speed with everything else going on in your life.
Our Kitchen & Bath Designers have analyzed trends and created four unique designs using modern amenities that will bring your kitchen right up to today’s day and age.
Sticks and Stones - Designed by Steve Ross
The cliché you will hear from everyone who wants to make
their kitchens more modern is that they want something ‘rustic, but modern’.
Nothing touches on those two characteristics better than this kitchen.
The cabinets, manufactured by Aristokraft Select, are Radford Partial Overlay Doors with an Umber Maple finish. Pair this with Cambria Quartz Helmsley countertops, you’ve got the perfect balance of a rustic look with the wood and the sleek modern feel of the countertops.
Kitchen Designer Steve Ross said this timeless look is perfect for those who don’t have a specific preference on what style kitchen they’re looking for. This traditional, conservative style will stand the test of time.
Bring the Drama – Designed by Danielle Tringale
While modernity and minimalism may have taken over kitchen design
in recent years, some people truly need a little drama in their life. This
kitchen showcases just that: a style that’s dramatic, yet classy. The two-tone
cabinets juxtapose deep tones with light ones that give the kitchen character,
while the floating shelves and shiplap-like backing project a trendy vibe.
Although this display is more of a coffee bar or a built-in hutch, the cabinet and countertop pairing would translate beautifully into a full kitchen. The cabinets, crafted by Decora, have ever-so-popular inset doors. While they look fantastic, they do require occasional maintenance.
Entertainer’s Paradise – Designed by Rachelle Rivard
This isn’t your ordinary kitchen – it’s an entertainer’s
paradise. This kitchen, or as some may say a wet bar, provides comprehensive
functions for the minimal consumer.
What really makes this kitchen modern is the color. The beautiful toned-down blue color of the cabinets is unique and fresh. They feature a shaker door style that is clean with some wonderful detail, without being over-the-top modern.
Another feature that has been huge this year is the quartz countertops. Not only is the quartz a marvel compliment to the color of the cabinets, but they’re also virtually maintenance-free. Some of the best features built-in to this design are the space-saving message centers and the wine bottle pullout for that superior atmosphere.
Country-Style Living – Designed by Rachelle Rivard
This full-bodied kitchen has a light country feel to it to stimulate
relaxation and comfort. The aesthetic is family-friendly and perfect for large
gatherings. The Kemper cabinets are a light cherry/sahara color with full
overlay door styles.
Like the Entertainer’s Paradise, this kitchen is equipped with quartz countertops in symphony finish and a 4” standard back splash. Additional accessories include some modern additions such as three drawer corner cabinet and the power pod pullout. This kitchen provides the perfect combination of homestyle carpentry with the modern amenities of a kitchen made in 2018.
