Red Cedar:

Western Red Cedar House Siding is an ideal choice because of its beauty, durability and design flexibility. Manufactured by members of the Western Red Cedar Lumber Association,  this siding is designed to meet today's needs for consistent quality in a wide range of house siding products.

Design flexibility is a noted feature of Western Red Cedar House Siding. It is available in a range of sizes to meet every end use and allows creative inspiration to be transferred from the designer's page to the finished product. Cedar house siding's natural characteristics of being durable, dimensionally stable, easily fabricated, light weight, and beautiful ensure your house siding will be admired for years to come.

Bevel Cedar House Siding
Western Red Cedar bevel house siding is the most widely used cedar house siding. Bevel house siding is produced by resawing lumber at an angle to produce two pieces thicker on one edge than the other. Bevel house siding is installed horizontally and gives an attractive shadow line.

Western Red Cedar bevel house siding is available in the following lengths:

  • 1/2" x 6" Red Cedar Bevel Siding - CVG (Clear Vertical Grain)
    Raw (unprimed), available in random lengths 6'-20', graded for smooth side exposure and can be used for rough side exposure.
  • 1/2" x 6" Red Cedar Bevel Siding - B Grade 6'-20' lengths, suitable for smooth or rough side exposure
    Raw (unprimed), available in random lengths 6'-20', graded for smooth side exposure
  • 1/2" x 6" Red Cedar Bevel Siding - CVG F/J (Clear Vertical Grain, Finger-Jointed)
    Primed all sides, available in random lengths, 6'-16'. Reversible smooth or rough exposure.
  • 1/2" x 8" Red Cedar Bevel Siding - A-Grade (Clear Mixed Grain)
    Raw (unprimed), available in random lengths 6'-20', graded for smooth side exposure

Tongue & Groove House Siding
Western Red Cedar tongue and groove house siding is widely used for it's sharp look and versatility. It can be installed horizontally, vertically or diagonally, and it can be used as interior paneling. Tongue and groove cedar house siding is available with either rough or smooth surfaces.

Western Red Cedar tongue and groove siding is available in the following sizes:

  • 1 x 4 T&G V-Groove Red Cedar Siding - A Grade
  • 1 x 6 T&G V-Groove Red Cedar Siding - A Grade
  • Both sizes are raw (unprimed), available in random lengths 6'-20'

At The Foundry, respect for the natural beauty of cedar reigns. The natural grain and random patterns add character to a home. They have re-created that look in a siding that has never been seen before.
They work in the old-world tradition to design and pour over 100 different molds that are used to capture cedar’s natural traits. Shakes have the rich grain of hand-split cedar. Shingles bear the random marks of a mill saw. All claddings have a texture that is carried through to the bottom edge of each shingle to give a rough-sawn look. This level of authenticity is only possible with their proprietary process.
